Ekspedisi Legenda Khatulistiwa Opens New Paths of Discovery

Some journeys are not just about distance, but about meaning. Ekspedisi Legenda Khatulistiwa invites travelers to see Indonesia differently, through encounters with nature, community, and culture.
Ekspedisi Legenda Khatulistiwa is a journey where exploration becomes a story to share, offering both a new experience and a new adventure for those seeking travel with depth.

A New Chapter of Exploration and Meaningful Travel

Legenda Khatulistiwa is a platform for sustainable exploration, uniting adventure with ecological and cultural responsibility. The expedition program is designed to showcase Indonesia's natural wonders while keeping traditions alive in meaningful ways. Ekspedisi Legenda Khatulistiwa Volume I marks the beginning of a series of curated journeys across Indonesia. With small groups and thoughtfully designed activities, the initiative bridges storytelling, conservation, and cultural encounters. In doing so, it reflects the vision of the Indonesian ecotourism network, which continues to elevate meaningful travel within the larger landscape of tourism in Indonesia. For travelers, it represents a rare form of different nature base hospitality, where conservation and comfort go hand in hand.

The first edition, taking place on 15-21 September 2025, promises five days and four nights across East Java and West Bali. Each stop along the way is carefully selected to highlight the rich mosaic of landscapes and traditions. This inaugural journey is a pilot project, set to inspire future expeditions that bring together exploration and purpose. Travelers will not just see places, they will live stories. The essence of this program is simple yet powerful: to experience Indonesia as both guest and guardian, where every encounter balances relaxation, adventure, and connection.

Introducing Ekspedisi Legenda Khatulistiwa Volume I

Ekspedisi Legenda Khatulistiwa Volume I will journey through some of the archipelago's most iconic destinations. In East Java, participants will trek through Alas Purwo National Park, explore Baluran's savannas, and climb Ijen Crater to witness its legendary blue fire. Crossing into West Bali, the adventure continues with snorkeling and temple visits on Menjangan Island. The expedition culminates at Plataran L'Harmonie, West Bali National Park, where travelers will join conservation efforts such as tree planting and cultural encounters like the Mesegehan ritual. This expedition at national park sites showcases how destinations become living classrooms, immersing participants in the spirit of tourism in Indonesia where natural beauty and cultural heritage intertwine.

What makes Ekspedisi Legenda Khatulistiwa distinctive is not only the destinations but also the storytellers. A select group of influencers will join Volume I, each bringing their passion for travel and conservation to a wider audience. Among them are Marischka Prudence, Dino Abdilah, Febrian, Chintya Tengens, and Abex. With backgrounds as divers, hikers, journalists, and bloggers, they represent the diversity of today's conscious traveler. Together, they will create authentic narratives that align with the mission of the Indonesian ecotourism network, amplifying stories of adventure and preservation.

This is more than a mere trip. It is a movement. By combining exploration with conservation and storytelling, it reimagines what travel can mean for both visitor and host. Stay tuned for the stories from Ekspedisi Legenda Khatulistiwa Volume I, and join us as we continue to create legends together.
