Siberut, The Ancient Nature

Siberut National Park is a forested area that has grown organically as a result of the decomposition of massive trunks and dense forest canopies that rise up to 60 meters in height. Large trunks make up the soil in forests, which causes the texture to become bumpy. Siberut provides a barefoot muddy jungle journey that sets it unique from other travel locations. Visitors will be rewarded for strolling through the shade of Dipterocarpaceae with a variety of orchid species and other wildlife along the route. This will conclude at the Ulukubuk waterfall, considered a holy site by the locals.

Understanding the culture and beliefs of the Mentawai people will provide you with a unique experience when visiting the park.

You will also be surrounded by a vibrant culture, such as the typical Uma home, which is inhabited by several families of the same ancestry. The leadership of Sikerei, who can speak with the soul, is commonly used in Punen traditional ceremonies to uphold the harmony of the soul, the tribe, and to impact the balance and harmony of the soul in nature.
