A variety of indigenous creatures from South Sumatra, North Sumatra, and East Sumatra provide Batang Gadis its great diversity. In this national park, several rare plant species flourish in large numbers, including the Rafflesia Arnoldi, the Kantong Semar, and the Meranti Merah. Along with other uncommon creatures, this national park is home to the Asian Golden Cat, Sumatran Serow, Tapir, and birds that had been thought to be extinct for a century.
