Savoring the Nature and Wild Rapid

Ancient civilizations left their mark on this protected area. This is shown by the fact that several archaeological sites include signs of tombs and stone-age implements. The natural resources in Kayan Mentarang cohabit with a variety of Dayak tribes. Salt is a product made by Kayan Mentarang. Since sea water was trapped in the mountain layer to make this salt, it is known as mountain salt. This salt contains a lot of iodine.

In this conservation area, which is located in Kalimantan's interior, nature, culture, and animals coexist harmoniously.

In Borneo and even Southeast Asia, this park has the biggest and last remaining area of old-growth primary and secondary forest. There are many different kinds of trees within, including Pulai, Jelutung, Ramin, Agathis, and Ulin. Additionally, there are several varieties of Nephentes, palms, and orchids. There are additional creatures including bulls, bears, white-fronted langurs, and clouded leopards.

A river in this region serves as a means of exploration. Adventurers may experience the excitement of rafting while being surrounded by wild creatures on the riverbanks and unique river contours.
